Job summary

BCforward is seeking a SAP Project Manager to work hybrid in Indianapolis, IN. The role focuses on delivering SAP projects within scope, schedule and budget using Agile and traditional delivery practices, while coordinating cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate will manage initiation through completion, drive governance, risk and dependency management, and ensure stakeholder adoption with clear reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Practical project delivery experience in an SAP environment.
• Working knowledge of SAP terminology and module interdependencies.
• PM fundamentals: planning, scheduling, risk/issue management, dependency management.
• Experience using Jira and Agile delivery practices.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage SAP projects from initiation to completion, including scope, schedule, budget, resources, dependencies and quality.
• Translate business objectives into executable project plans aligned with SAP processes.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to maintain alignment and support timely decisions.
• Establish governance, run status meetings, and report milestones, risks, issues and outcomes.
• Identify risks and dependencies and develop mitigation plans.
• Use Jira and Agile practices to organize work and manage backlogs.
• Drive stakeholder communication, change readiness, and adoption through the project lifecycle.
• Ensure project documentation is accurate and aligned with standards.

We are seeking a SAP Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in managing SAP projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and applying Agile and traditional delivery practices and a proven ability to deliver projects on scope, schedule, and budget while managing risks, dependencies, and stakeholder adoption.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage SAP projects from initiation through completion, including scope, schedule, budget, resources, dependencies, and quality.
• Translate business objectives into executable project plans aligned with SAP processes, terminology, and module interdependencies.
• Coordinate cross-functional business and technical teams to maintain alignment, resolve issues, and support timely decision-making.
• Establish governance routines, facilitate status meetings, and provide clear reporting on milestones, risks, issues, decisions, and outcomes.
• Identify and manage delivery risks, constraints, and dependencies while developing practical mitigation and recovery plans.
• Use Jira and Agile practices to organize work, monitor progress, manage backlogs, and support iterative delivery where appropriate.
• Apply ProChain/Critical Chain concepts when required and complete available training to align with organizational delivery standards.
• Drive stakeholder communication, change readiness, and adoption throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure project documentation is accurate, current, and aligned with organizational standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Practical project delivery experience in an SAP environment.
• Working knowledge of SAP terminology, core business processes, and module and workstream interdependencies.
• Project management fundamentals, including planning, scheduling, risk and issue management, dependency management, stakeholder engagement, and status reporting.
• Experience using Jira and working with Agile delivery practices.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate with business and technical stakeholders.
• Organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with enterprise-scale SAP implementations, upgrades, integrations, or process transformation initiatives.
• Exposure to ProChain or Critical Chain project management.
• Relevant project management or Agile certification is beneficial but not required.
