Job description

Role: Project Manager (Risk & Compliance)

Duration: 06 to 08 Months

Location: Remote

Implementation

Position is responsible for managing regulatory project(s): executing against the program structure, providing subject matter expertise into the program approach, and reporting status to senior leadership. Liaises with Risk Management, Compliance, Internal Audit, Regulatory Relations, Financial Crimes, and other key support functions across the Enterprise.

Central

Position is responsible for providing central support to the aforementioned groups within the GRC and ensuring existing GRC standards are followed. Liaises with Legal, HR, Regulatory Relations, Technology & Innovation, and other key support functions across the Enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Develop Board, Management, and regulatory presentations and support quarterly progress reports
• Partner with US Company leadership and senior leaders in the GRC office to ensure integrated activities across regulatory remediation.
• Work with senior leaders managing remediation activities to ensure traceability back to root causes and regulatory responses with proper signoff through governance channels.
• Collaborate with first, second, and third line of defense colleagues to ensure program completion.
• Work in a consultative manner with operational and other functional specialists to implement relevant laws, regulations, and guidance into bank processes and procedures.
• Report regulatory compliance delivery progress to senior management.
• Foster a culture of compliance with existing and pending regulations.

Implementation -

• Responsible for planning, execution, and delivery of major regulatory projects within the GRC Implementation Office.

Central -

• Support dependency management between regulatory remediations and across US entities.
• Support reporting automation initiatives.

Experience Needed

• Experience in banking compliance, risk, legal, regulatory, or related bank regulatory experience.
• Proven leadership and project/program management skills.
• Ability to build relationships with internal and external partners.
• Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills.
• Experience managing or being part of a compliance or risk management team for a large US bank.
• Deep understanding of risk frameworks, policies, and programs.
• Knowledge of regulatory and risk management in financial services.
• Experience building executive-level presentations and communications.
• Strong program and change management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project Server, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Apps.
