Job summary

The Freeman Company in McCook, IL, is seeking a Rigging Services Project Manager to oversee overhead rigging, sign hanging, lighting, and electrical requirements for produced events. This full-time, in-office/show-site role reports to Rigging Logistics and supports the Audio Visual Production team.

Requires a high school diploma and at least 4 years in labor coordination or exhibitor services, with proficiency in MS Office, Google Sheets/Docs, and Salesforce. Travel 50%-75% is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 4 years experience in labor coordination or exhibitor services preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office suite and Google Workspace applications.
• Proficient in Salesforce and able to interpret floor plans.
• Understanding of rigging safety procedures preferred.
• Familiarity with local union jurisdictions and rules preferred.

Responsibilities

• Creates and maintains show files/show kits to ensure completion of required documentation.
• Works with clients to gather specifications and enter into the appropriate systems.
• Creates estimates for clients and produces on-site work tickets as required.
• Completes work tickets and enters dismantle labor; ensures labor tickets are signed by exhibitors.
• Dispatches labor and obtains detailed information about installation upon return.
• Creates final billing reports for invoicing and prepares hanging sign installation spreadsheets.
• Ensures hanging sign labor tickets are entered correctly and compiles plots, assembly instructions and engineer stamps.
• Creates training material for the Project Manager – Rigging Services position upsell.

Summary

The Rigging Services Project Manager is responsible for the management and coordination of all overhead rigging, sign hanging, lighting, and associated electrical requirements for produced events. This position serves as the primary liaison between the exhibitors and Project Manager – Rigging Logistics or technical rigging show lead to ensure successful coordination of rigging requirements.

This position will support our Audio Visual Production team. The position follows an in-person schedule working full-time in-office and/or show-site based out of McCook, IL.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Creates and maintains show files/show kits to ensure completion of required documentation
• Works with the clients to gather specifications and enter into the appropriate systems
• Creates estimates for clients Produces and processes on-site work tickets as required
• Completes work tickets and enters dismantle labor
• Ensures labor tickets are signed by exhibitors
• Dispatches labor and obtains detailed information about installation upon return
• Creates final billing reports for invoicing
• Creates hanging sign installation spreadsheet
• Creates hanging sign folders for Operations Manager
• Ensures hanging sign labor tickets are correctly entered for exhibitors
• Compiles hanging sign information that includes plots, assembly instructions and engineer stamps
• Create training material and training of Project Manager – Rigging Services position upsell
• Enterprise products to exhibitors
• Creates packaged pre-work to hand off to show site personnel
• Create and Test new processes and procedures

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 4 years experience in labor coordination or exhibitor services preferred
• Proficient in MS Office suite Proficient with Google Sheets & Google Docs
• Proficient in Salesforce Ability to interpret floor plans
• Understanding of rigging safety procedures preferred
• Familiarity with local union jurisdictions and rules preferred

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Valid drivers license required
