Job Overview
Merrick Construction Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee the construction of beautiful, custom homes throughout Monmouth & Ocean County. As a Project Manager, you will manage high-end residential construction projects, ensuring quality craftsmanship, managing timelines, and delivering an exceptional client experience. You will be part of a company renowned for its service and award-winning quality.

Responsibilities Include (but Are Not Limited To)

• Manage high-end residential projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
• Supervise on-site personnel and subcontractors for quality and safety.
• Coordinate professionally with inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, and clients.
• Provide daily onsite management and maintain strong communication with clients and teams.
• Schedule materials, labor, and subcontractors to meet project timelines.
• Conduct weekly site meetings and report progress.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Review and approve product submittals across trades.
• Enforce accountability among subcontractors and team members.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on carpentry or related education; extensive knowledge in high-end finish carpentry.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Project Manager in residential construction.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous task tracking.
• Expertise in scheduling, budgeting, and task execution.
• Proficient in email communication.
• Ability to hold team members accountable and ensure task completion.
• Calm demeanor with strong attention to detail.
• Project Management coursework is a plus.
