Summary:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead the development of utility-scale battery storage projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects, preferably in the renewable energy sector. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and technical skills, as well as a deep understanding of the battery storage industry.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of utility-scale battery storage projects, from initial feasibility studies to construction and commissioning.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules.
- Manage project teams, including engineers, contractors, and consultants.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, permits, and safety standards.
- Identify and mitigate project risks.
- Monitor project progress and report regularly to stakeholders.
- Manage project budgets and ensure cost control.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and contractors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including utilities, landowners, and community members.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in the battery storage industry.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in project management,1preferably in the renewable energy sector.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects, including utility-scale projects.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Deep understanding of the battery storage industry, including technology, applications, and regulations.
- Experience with project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- PMP certification preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience with specific battery storage technologies (e.g., lithium-ion, flow batteries).
- Experience with energy storage project financing.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to battery storage projects.
