Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead Independent Engineering and Technical Due Diligence engagements supporting project financing and development decisions.
• Oversee Owner’s Engineering assignments throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct technical assessments of major equipment including solar PV modules, inverters, BESS, and microgrid components.
• Review designs, specs, and contracts to identify risks and ensure technical alignment.
• Evaluate commissioning procedures, test results, and system performance.
• Own project execution including budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
• Provide technical direction to internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Build relationships with clients, developers, investors, financiers, and technology providers.
• Deliver recommendations on emerging energy technologies and market requirements.

We are seeking an accomplished Project Manager – Renewable Energy, Solar PV & BESS to join a fast-growing energy consulting and engineering organization in a leadership capacity.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineering and consulting professional with a strong background in Owner’s Engineering, Independent Engineering, and Technical Due Diligence, particularly across utility-scale solar PV and battery energy storage projects.

In this role, you will lead complex technical advisory and engineering consulting engagements, partnering with developers, investors, financiers, and other key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle—from early-stage development and financing through construction, commissioning, and Commercial Operation Date (COD).

You will also gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of energy technologies, including utility-scale solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), wind, microgrids, and data center energy infrastructure, with projects spanning North America and international markets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and manage Independent Engineering and Technical Due Diligence engagements supporting project financing, investment, and development decisions.
• Oversee Owner’s Engineering assignments throughout the project lifecycle, from early-stage development through construction, commissioning, and COD.
• Conduct technical assessments and independent evaluations of major equipment, including solar PV modules, inverters, BESS, and microgrid components.
• Review engineering designs, technical specifications, equipment documentation, and contractual agreements to identify risks and ensure technical alignment.
• Evaluate commissioning procedures, test results, system performance, and project compliance.
• Take ownership of project execution, including budgets, schedules, resource coordination, and technical deliverables.
• Provide technical direction and strategic guidance to internal engineering teams and external stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships with clients, developers, investors, financiers, and technology providers.
• Deliver expert recommendations on emerging energy technologies, industry standards, and evolving market requirements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of engineering, consulting, or project development experience within the renewable energy sector.
• Demonstrated expertise in Owner’s Engineering and/or Independent Engineering services.
• Strong experience with utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects.
• Background in technical due diligence, engineering design reviews, energy modeling, and system performance assessments.
• Ability to interpret and evaluate engineering specifications, technical documentation, and project contractual agreements.
• Proven ability to manage complex technical engagements, project budgets, timelines, and client deliverables.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Must be authorized to work and permanently reside in the United States.
