Barnsco Texas is seeking a highly motivated Rebar Detailer/Project Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a vital role in producing precise rebar placement drawings, coordinating projects, and ensuring top-notch service to our clients. Position Overview: As a Rebar Detailer/Project Manager, you will oversee the creation of high-quality rebar placement drawings, material cut lists, and ensure the successful delivery of products for construction projects. Your work will directly contribute to the efficient fabrication and placement of rebar, ensuring our projects meet industry standards and exceed customer expectations. You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with clients, production teams, and scheduling personnel to ensure smooth operations from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce Accurate Rebar Drawings: Create rebar placement drawings that align with both company and industry standards for various structures.
  • Material Lists & Shop Fabrication: Generate detailed material lists to ensure accuracy in shop fabrication.
  • Problem-Solving: Assist in researching and resolving any detailing, fabrication, or field placement issues to keep projects on track.
  • Project Coordination: Work closely with customers and scheduling teams to coordinate material deliveries and placement schedules.
  • Scope Management: Monitor and manage any changes in scope and ensure all adjustments are captured and communicated effectively.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized documentation for each project, ensuring everything is accounted for.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service, addressing customer needs through phone calls, meetings, and on-site visits.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by the Detailing Manager to support project success.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Especially Excel and Outlook to manage project details efficiently.
  • Experience with CAD Software: Previous experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation (preferred).
  • Rebar Detailing Knowledge: Hands-on experience and familiarity with rebar detailing per industry standards.
  • Strong Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with numbers and measurements to ensure precision.
  • Exceptional Organizational Skills: The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime and weekends, if necessary, to meet project demands.
  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret contract drawings and blueprints.
  • Educational Background: Associate’s degree or higher is preferred.
  • Bilingual Skills: English/Spanish (preferred) to communicate effectively with a diverse team and client base.
