Job summary

QXO, a leading distributor and installer of building products, seeks an experienced project manager to oversee reinforcing steel and post-tension projects in Colorado. You will coordinate from estimating handoff through fabrication, delivery, installation, and closeout, while working onsite with crews, customers, and contractors.

The role requires directing 15–25 active projects, strong scheduling and communication skills, and a focus on quality, safety, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Direct experience managing reinforcing steel (rebar) and/or post-tension projects.
• Knowledge of rebar fabrication, detailing, scheduling and installation.
• Ability to manage multiple active projects in various stages.
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work fully onsite.
• PTI Level I or Level II Certification preferred.
• Experience reviewing plans using Bluebeam and ERP BisTrack.
• Experience with reinforcing steel fabricators or post-tension suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Manage 15–25 commercial rebar projects simultaneously, including post-tension work.
• Coordinate projects from estimating handoff through fabrication, delivery, installation and closeout.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and documentation.
• Coordinate with fabrication facilities, field crews, customers, general contractors and internal teams.
• Track project schedules, budgets, material releases and production timelines.
• Manage change orders, project documentation and customer communications.
• Conduct site visits (~20% travel) to monitor progress and resolve issues.
• Build and maintain relationships with contractors, owners and stakeholders.
• Identify project risks early and implement solutions to stay on schedule.
• Ensure projects meet quality, safety and customer service expectations.

What you’ll do:

• Manage approximately 15–25 commercial rebar projects simultaneously, ranging from smaller commercial work to multi-million-dollar projects lasting up to two years. Qualified candidates with post-tension experience may also manage post-tension projects.
• Coordinate projects from estimating handoff through fabrication, delivery, installation, and closeout.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
• Coordinate closely with fabrication facilities, field crews, customers, general contractors, and internal departments.
• Track project schedules, budgets, material releases, and production timelines.
• Manage change orders, project documentation, and customer communications.
• Conduct job site visits (approximately 20% travel within the local market) to monitor project progress and resolve issues.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, owners, and project stakeholders.
• Identify project risks early and implement solutions to keep projects on schedule.
• Ensure projects meet company quality, safety, and customer service expectations.

What you’ll bring:

• Direct experience managing reinforcing steel (rebar) and/or post-tension construction projects is required.
• Strong understanding of rebar fabrication, detailing, scheduling, and installation processes.
• Ability to manage multiple active projects in various stages of completion.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work fully onsite.
• Experience using aSa software. Preferred Qualifications
• PTI Level I or Level II Certification (Level II preferred).
• Experience reviewing plans using Bluebeam.
• ERP experience (BisTrack or similar).
• Experience working with reinforcing steel fabricators, post-tension suppliers, or specialty concrete contractors.
