The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading the successful planning, execution, financial performance, and delivery of complex construction and building products projects. This role provides strategic leadership for multiple high-value projects while mentoring Project Managers, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with Estimating, Purchasing, Production, Sales, Operations, and executive leadership, the Senior Project Manager drives operational excellence, develops project management best practices, and supports continued business growth through outstanding customer relationships and project execution.
Lead multiple complex projects from contract award through project closeout
Develop project execution plans, schedules, budgets, procurement strategies, and resource plans
Monitor project performance to ensure schedule, quality, profitability, and customer expectations are achieved
Identify project risks early and implement corrective action plans
Review contracts, specifications, drawings, and project requirements to ensure compliance
Coordinate project resources to maximize efficiency and productivity
Prepare and manage project budgets throughout the project lifecycle
Monitor labor, material, freight, subcontractor, and miscellaneous project costs
Forecast project profitability and identify opportunities to improve financial performance
Manage change orders, contract modifications, and project billing documentation
Review project financial reports and recommend corrective actions when needed
Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and customer expectations
Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to Project Managers and Project Coordinators
Assist leadership with balancing workloads and assigning project responsibilities
Support onboarding, coaching, performance development, and succession planning
Promote consistency in project management processes, documentation, and communication
Foster a collaborative, accountable, and customer-focused team environment
Serve as the primary point of contact for key customers, contractors, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders
Lead customer meetings, project reviews, and coordination meetings
Build and maintain long-term customer relationships
Resolve escalated project issues professionally and efficiently
Provide regular project updates, milestone reporting, and executive-level communication
Partner with Estimating, Purchasing, Production, Operations, Sales, Quality, Shipping, and Field teams to ensure successful project execution
Coordinate production schedules, procurement activities, and delivery timelines
Support smooth project transitions from estimating through production and final delivery
Monitor material availability and identify potential supply chain risks
Collaborate across departments to optimize workflow and project outcomes
Ensure projects comply with company quality standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulations
Conduct project reviews to identify lessons learned and continuous improvement opportunities
Promote company safety policies and support safe project execution
Recommend improvements to project management procedures, documentation, and operational workflows
Support strategic initiatives that improve customer satisfaction and operational performance
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
Minimum 8–10 years of progressive project management experience within construction, building materials, manufacturing, or related industries
Previous leadership, supervisory, or mentoring experience preferred
Experience managing multiple large commercial or residential construction projects simultaneously
Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement, scheduling, budgeting, and change management
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ERP systems, project management software, scheduling software, and business applications
Industry certifications such as PMP, OSHA 30, PTI, or equivalent are a plus depending on business unit
Ability to read and interpret contracts, engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
Combination of office, manufacturing, warehouse, and active construction environments
Frequent collaboration with customers, contractors, vendors, project teams, and executive leadership
Regular travel to customer locations, jobsites, production facilities, and branch operations
Ability to walk active construction sites and manufacturing facilities while wearing required PPE
Ability to occasionally lift project materials, plans, or equipment up to 25 pounds
Flexibility to work extended hours or travel as project schedules require
