Miller Electric Mfg. LLC, an affiliate of ITW, seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead New Product Development projects on the PWS Engineering Team.

You will guide strategic and tactical efforts from concept through launch, coordinating cross-functional teams and external partners. Responsibilities include managing scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and tollgates while delivering high-quality results for complex welding solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred) or technical field; MBA preferred.
  • Experience leading product development with disciplined processes and PM techniques.
  • Strong business acumen and excellent project management skills.
  • Strategic mindset with ability to anticipate trends and translate into actionable strategy.
  • Able to build credibility and influence without direct authority.
  • Excellent facilitation and communication across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience managing large-scale, multi-faceted projects.
  • High energy and can-do attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with customers and vendors.
  • Agile Project Management is a plus.
  • Qualitative knowledge of technologies used at Miller Electric is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project teams through all stages of the new product development process from needs assessment to final implementation.
  • Define project scope and objectives with stakeholders and ensure feasibility.
  • Develop detailed work plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
  • Communicate project status and escalation to leadership as needed.
  • Conduct project meetings and manage tracking and analysis.
  • Assess, manage, and mitigate project risks.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and review deliverables.
  • Drive and manage the tollgates/stage gates.
  • Recommend actions to direct analysis and solutions of problems.

Essential Functions

Under general direction, this position will be responsible to ensure projects are delivered on-time, within scope, within budget, and stated objectives are met. This person will:

  • Lead project teams through all stages of the new product development process including needs assessment, conceptualization, development, and final implementation.
  • Define project scope and objectives, involving relevant stakeholders and ensuring feasibility.
  • Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
  • Communicate project status and escalation to leadership as needed.
  • Conduct project meetings and be responsible for project tracking and analysis.
  • Assess, manage, and mitigate project risks.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and review project deliverables.
  • Drive and manage the tollgates.
  • Recommend and take action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred), other technical field, or business adminstration; MBA (preferred)
  • Experience leading product development activities with disciplined development process and project management techniques
  • Strong business acumen and excellent project management skills
  • Strategic mindset with ability to anticipate future trends, while translating those insights into actionable strategy
  • Capable of building credibility and influencing the actions, behaviors, and mindset of others without direct authority
  • Excellent facilitation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and connect with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Capable of managing large scale, multi-faceted projects
  • High energy and drive with ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams
  • Experience in working with customers and vendors
  • Experience with Agile Project Management is a plus
