Your Role:

Tetra Tech’s Disaster Response Division currently has an opportunity for a Project Manager. This is a REMOTE position for someone who resides in Hawaii. This role will require periodic travel, which may include long-term deployments for disaster response efforts.

Responsibilities include:

1. Serves as Primary Point of Contact between client, stakeholders, and project team, and provides good customer service to applicants through prompt follow-up and a professional demeanor.
2. Manages the overall operation and direction of the program or project and determines and defines project scopes and objectives.
3. Predicts resources needed to reach objectives and manages resources in an effective and efficient manner.
4. Prepares budget based on scope of work and resource requirements, maintains project work plan, and tracks project costs in order to meet Tetra Tech financial goals.
5. Provides written and oral reports to contract management and client representatives and provides project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
6. Manages contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
7. Develops strategies for achieving project goals and objectives and monitors progress and adjusts as needed.
8. Measures project performance to identify areas for improvement.
9. Provides strategic guidance to team and leads internal meetings.
10. Reviews and approves project SOPs, Org Charts, staffing changes, payroll, and time and attendance requests.
11. Utilizes industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout project execution.
12. Provides customer service to applicants throughout the FEMA Public Assistance grant management process.
13. Coordinates with FEMA PA Site Inspector and PA Program Delivery Task Force Leaders for effective grant funding delivery.
14. Coordinates with stakeholders to complete FEMA PA grant applications.
15. Oversees FEMA Grants Portal application process.
16. Follows applicable regulations on grant eligibility and communicates changes to program requirements.
17. Reviews project recommendations and develops RFIs with FEMA leads.
18. Provides technical assistance regarding FEMA and related funding sources.
19. Conducts activities in line with procedures, legislation, and standards.
20. Pursues ongoing professional development.
21. Works safely and reports health and safety incidents.
22. Performs additional duties as required.

Qualifications include:

• 7+ years of FEMA Public Assistance Grant Experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication skills, organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
• Experience as Program Delivery Manager (PDMG), Grants Manager, and with Grants Portal preferred
