Travel Requirement:

This role will require periodic travel, which may include long-term deployments for disaster response efforts or other business matters for up to 14 to 21 days at a time.

Salary Expectations: $100,000 - 115,000 based on experience.

Your Role:

Tetra Tech’s Disaster Response Division currently has an opportunity for a Project Manager. This is a REMOTE position for someone residing in California. The role requires periodic travel, including long-term deployments for disaster response.

  • Serves as the primary point of contact between clients, stakeholders, and the project team, providing excellent customer service through prompt follow-up and professionalism.
  • Manages the overall operation and direction of the program or project, defining project scopes and objectives.
  • Predicts and manages resources needed to achieve objectives efficiently.
  • Prepares budgets based on scope and resource requirements, maintains project work plans, and tracks costs to meet financial goals.
  • Provides reports and updates to management and clients on strategy, progress, and adjustments.
  • Manages contracts with vendors and suppliers, assigning tasks and communicating deliverables.
  • Develops strategies for achieving project goals, monitors progress, and adjusts as needed.
  • Measures project performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provides strategic guidance to the team and leads internal meetings.
  • Reviews and approves project SOPs, organizational charts, staffing changes, payroll, and attendance requests.
  • Utilizes industry best practices throughout project execution.
  • Provides customer service to applicants during FEMA Public Assistance grant management.
  • Coordinates with FEMA PA Site Inspector and Program Delivery Task Force Leaders for grant delivery.
  • Manages FEMA Grants Portal applications and ensures compliance with regulations.
  • Reviews project recommendations, develops RFIs, and communicates with FEMA leads and clients.
  • Provides technical assistance on FEMA and related funding sources, assisting with eligibility determinations.
  • Follows internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
  • Maintains professional development and adheres to safety protocols.
  • Performs additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of FEMA Public Assistance Grant Experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with effective utilization of functions.
  • Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience as a Program Delivery Manager (PDMG), Grants Manager, and in FEMA grants portal, with client contact preferred.
