Job Overview:The Project Manager for Primoris Heavy Civil in Madisonville, TX will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and closing of heavy civil construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves leading project teams, managing client relationships, and overseeing all aspects of project delivery from inception to completion.Job Responsibilities:* Lead and manage all phases of heavy civil construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.* Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost control systems to ensure projects stay on track and within financial constraints.* Oversee project teams, including superintendents, foremen, and other project personnel, providing guidance, motivation, and performance management.* Act as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and vendors, fostering strong relationships and ensuring effective communication.* Negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and change orders, ensuring favorable terms for Primoris Services Corporation.* Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and maintain project timelines.* Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, quality control standards, and environmental regulations on all project sites.* Prepare and present regular project reports to senior management, outlining progress, financial status, and any critical issues.* Manage project close-out procedures, including final inspections, punch lists, and documentation.* Identify and pursue new business opportunities and contribute to proposal development when required.Job Qualifications:* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.* Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in project management within the heavy civil construction industry.* Proven track record of successfully delivering complex heavy civil projects on time and within budget.* Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and industry best practices.* Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and other relevant construction management tools.* Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contract documents.* Thorough knowledge of construction safety regulations and quality control procedures.* Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to project challenges.* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.* Willingness to travel to project sites as required.* Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.Company Overview:Primoris Heavy Civil provides highway, port, airfield, rail and marine (intermodal transportation) construction services to private commercial and industrial clients as well as governmental entities such as the Department of Transportation and the US Army Corps of Engineers.
