Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Program Manager or Regional Manager, this position will be part of the Client’s Program management team and work in their office managing public projects. The role includes Design and Procurement oversight from inception through occupancy and serves as the direct contact as one of the Owner’s Representatives, focusing on ensuring Schedule, Cost, Scope, Contract Compliance, and Safety.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for overall project delivery (cost, schedule, quality, information, contracts) on multiple project assignments
  • Manage project development from conception through completion in accordance with program objectives for multiple simultaneous projects ranging from small to over $50 million
  • Manage all budgets, schedules, scope development, design and construction contracts, documents, procedures and controls for assigned projects
  • Oversee the review and approval process for consultant invoices, contractor pay applications, change orders, and coordinate with the Control Manager for proper posting in reporting programs
  • Create standard contractual documents; prepare Requests for Proposals and Contracts for consultants and contractors
  • Negotiate and finalize consultant and contractor proposals and changes using client standard contractual documents
  • Ensure construction adheres to design requirements
  • Attend assigned Owner‑Architect‑Contractor meetings to monitor weekly job progress, report to facility end‑users, and resolve project issues; address complex design and construction related disputes and disagreements
  • Review status and monitor variances of the design and construction project database relative to scheduling and cost control reporting
  • Maintain excellent client‑facing communication skills
  • Stay organized and capable of multitasking and working independently in a fast‑paced environment
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline, construction management, or architecture preferred
  • Eight years’ experience as a Project Manager in an owner, engineering, environmental, or construction organization required
  • Project Management experience must include direct oversight of design consultants as well as contractors
  • Fifteen years’ experience in a project‑related technical field required
  • Strong working knowledge of pre‑design and pre‑construction, building systems/components, technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building, and client relationship building required
  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Professional Engineer (PE), or Architect license/certification preferred

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $150,000.00 to $175,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
