Qualifications

• Construction degree/certification; 3 years PM experience in Utilities.
• Excellent analytical skills with high level of accuracy.
• Prioritize and plan work effectively and efficiently.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong communication skills; maintain professionalism with stakeholders.
• Valid driver's license; willingness to work extended hours when needed.
• Bilingual Spanish desired, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Division Manager and participate in weekly team meetings.
• Coordinate with project team; focus on quality, safety and production.
• Identify obstacles and implement solutions; create action items.
• Forecast project costs and revenues vs progress; monitor WIP.
• Provide real-time feedback to direct reports and conduct reviews.
• Maintain site visits, field reports and Smartsheets tracking.
• Review production with supervisors during weekly meetings.
• Ensure timely and accurate invoicing of projects.
• Prepare weekly performance discussions and corrective plans.

Job Overview

Primoris Distribution Services (PDS), a division of Primoris Services Corporation, is a publicly owned and operated construction contracting company that provides both specific and turnkey services for its customers in the gas, oil, electric and telecommunications industry. Primoris Distribution Services is an industry leader in the installation of gas lines (plastic and steel). We have an immediate opening for a Project Manager in Denton, TX. This position will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of our new construction and replacement projects.

Position Expectations

Report to and assist Division Manager; Participation in weekly team meetings; Coordination with direct project team - Focus on Quality, Safety and Production; Discuss obstacles that have been encountered, work to resolve; Action items around obstacles and missing goals; A basic knowledge of forecasting project cost and revenues vs estimated/actual progress/results; Real time feedback for your direct reports; Weekly dialogue around performance; Production performance reviews; Keeping up with WIP and making sure projects are invoiced timely and correct; Review production with Super/GF during weekly meetings; Office & Field support decision; Control weekly meetings reviewing job completion of percentage and results, Get to know your team, Site Visits; Field Reports –Daily field reports and tracking in Smartsheets; Financial Analysis & Reporting - Understanding basic accounting fundamentals, Data analysis, Budgeting and tracking assigned work, Basic estimating skills.; Ability to collect, estimate, and organize real cost to identify if jobs and project are tracking properly.; Ability to outline action plans to correct poorly performing jobs and projects with support from field management.; Understanding and building job tracking reports.

Educational & Minimum Requirements

Construction degree/certification and or 3 years previous experience in Project Management in Utilities (Gas, Electric, or Communications) Excellent analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to prioritize and plan work activities to be effective and efficient Must be comfortable and effective working in an environment with changing demands, delays and responding to unexpected situations Proficient user of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook Excellent verbal and written communication skills required; ability to maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with all stakeholders (internal/external) Ability to work extended hours when necessary for business needs Highly motivated with a positive attitude Communication with the Project Teams (Operations / Admin / Estimating) Valid Driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record Bilingual Spanish skills desired, but not required.
