Job summary

Event Resources, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager / Operations Crew member to support planning, setup, execution, and breakdown of live events. The role is fast-paced and hands-on, combining project management with on-site operations to deliver seamless guest experiences.

You will read layouts, coordinate equipment needs, and lead a crew to ensure following client-specific setups and strikes. This position requires physical work, reliability, and clear communication across teams and clients.

Qualifications

  • Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting 50+ lbs regularly.
  • Experience with event setup, staging, or production is preferred (but not required).
  • Comfortable driving large vehicles, preferred (but not required).
  • Strong work ethic and reliability—shows up on time and ready to work.
  • Ability to work long hours, including early mornings, nights, and weekends. Schedule shifts depending on event schedule.
  • Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude (tools, equipment handling, assembly).
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Clean background as we work with education institutions and government agencies that require a clean background check.

Responsibilities

  • Read layouts to plan tables, chairs, pipe & drape, and more.
  • Ensure all equipment is logged in the database for each event.
  • Coordinate setup/strike times with the client.
  • Attend weekly Zoom meetings with the client to review upcoming events.
  • Assist with miscellaneous tasks.
  • Lead crew to follow layout setup and strikes for the client.
  • Pull equipment from warehouse and restock after events.
  • Load and unload trucks with equipment.
  • Possess driving ability for sprinter van or 26ft box truck; no CDL required.
  • Collaborate with team, project managers, and clients.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and report issues or damaged equipment.

Job Overview

Join our team as a Project Manager / Operations Crew member and play a key role in delivering high-quality live events. This position is hands‑on and fast‑paced, supporting the planning, setup, execution, and breakdown of events of all sizes.

Project Managing Responsibilities
  • Reading layouts to see tables, chairs, pipe & drape, and more.
  • Making sure all equipment needed is put in to our database for each event.
  • Coordinating set up/strike times for many events with this specific client.
  • Weekly zoom meeting with client to review up coming events.
  • Other misc tasks.
Operations Crew Responsibilities
  • Setting up tables, linen, chairs, pipe and drape, and more.
  • Leading crew to follow the layout set up and strikes for this specific client.
  • Pulling equipment in warehouse to be ready for set up and restocking equipment after event is finished.
  • Load and unload trucks with equipment.
  • Ability to drive a sprinter van, and ideally a 26FT box truck. No CDL is required.
  • Work collaboratively with team members, project managers, and clients.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and report any issues or damaged equipment.
