Job description

We’re partnering with a leading client to find a Project Manager (Operational Readiness Testing) to join their team. You’ll help large-scale strategic initiatives go live smoothly by keeping deliverables on track, risks visible, and leadership informed. This is a project management role, not a testing role. If you like owning the details and driving work to the finish line without being chased, keep reading.

What You’ll Own
  • You’ll have the opportunity to coordinate Operational Readiness Testing (ORT) activities, the checkpoints that confirm a new system or process is ready to go live, across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • You’ll drive deliverables from start to finish, keeping timelines, dependencies, and action items visible and moving.
  • You’ll spot risks and issues early and work with the right people to resolve them before they affect the schedule.
  • You’ll build clear, leadership-ready reports and PowerPoint presentations that give executives the status they need in minutes.
  • You’ll track progress in JIRA (a project tracking tool) and Power BI (Microsoft’s reporting and dashboard tool) so everyone works from the same picture.
  • You’ll keep stakeholders aligned, informed, and accountable through steady, proactive communication.
What You Bring

Must-haves

  • You bring 3 to 5 years of project management or operational readiness experience, including managing deliverables, risks, dependencies, and action items.
  • You bring advanced PowerPoint skills and a track record of presenting to executives.
  • You bring hands-on experience with JIRA and Power BI reporting.
  • You bring a self-starter mindset, with the organization and attention to detail to work independently and push initiatives forward.

Nice-to-haves

  • You’ve supported large-scale implementations, readiness efforts, cutover (the switch from an old system or process to a new one), or hypercare (the intensive support period after go-live).
  • You’ve worked with several stakeholder groups at once and kept them aligned.
What We Offer
  • A 1-year contract with renewals based on performance
  • Your choice of W2 or 1099 contract type
  • An on-site role supporting large-scale strategic initiatives
  • Visibility with leadership through the reports and presentations you create
About the Team

You’ll work across several stakeholder groups, so your work will be seen and used by decision-makers. The team values people who take initiative and keep things moving without constant oversight. If you want to be known for clear communication and dependable delivery on high-visibility initiatives, this is a strong place to build that reputation.
