Job summary

Cogent Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee estimating costs, resources, and bidding for residential and commercial construction projects. You will coordinate with production teams, manage WIP billings, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

The role emphasizes leadership, client relations, and strategic planning to hit revenue targets, build schedules, and maintain profitable work.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional ability to read and critically interpret construction documents (drawings) to understand project requirements, identify risks, and mitigate issues.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills for schedules and budgets.
  • Experience leading multiple projects and remote teams; travel up to 75%.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Manager oversees every detail of estimating costs and resourcesrequiredto bid on and winresidential andcommercial constructioncontracts andprovides the necessary support throughout the project life cycle to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget. The Project Manager is also responsible formaintainingpositive working relationships with each ofElite Pipeline'scustomers to understandtheir preferences and requirements, enabling successful scoping, pricing, winning, and deliveringprofitable work.

In addition to scoping, pricing, and bidding projects, the Project Manager is expected to be the main point of contact for all matters related to a project once a project is awarded, both internally and externally. The ProjectManagertracks progress, prepares WIP billings, and addresses customer inquiries about progress and billing. Through close coordination with the production team and customers, the Estimator/Project Manager is critical to the successful execution of Rino’s WoodworkingShop’squality furniture and service projects.

  • AchieveMonthly / Annual Revenuetarget:
  • Lead Generation.Research and target new customers.
  • Create estimates and quotes fromestimates. Updateandmaintainprospectcontactinformationand statusofcustomerrelationships:calls, drawings and project documents received, bidssubmittedandstatus, ofestimates.
  • Build projectscheduleandassignment.
  • Executeprojectobjectives:
  • Finished according to thecustomer’sexpectations,

  • Using the right resources (laborman-hoursallocated, materialsrequired, andother Logistics:i.e,Travel,equipment rentals, shipping,freight, etc.
  • Inspect completed projects before handoff to customers.
  • To final walkthrough withthecustomer’s keystakeholdersbeforesigning off.
  • Submit final sign-off documents andinvoicestocustomers.
  • Maintain relationsand communicationwith clients;i.e:conferencecalls, scheduledpre-planningand planning meetings(Salem is bi-weekly leading up to outages).
  • Update andmaintainprojectschedules,calendar,and timelines.
  • Maintainskilled, motivated,and talented team:
  • Maintain Bench Plan: having adequate staffing to satisfy the servicerequirements’needs to achieve the sales target.
  • Recruit, select, interview, hire,onboard, train, certify, assign,evaluate,develop,appraiseand manage the nuclear staff tothe company’sexpectations and values as outlined in the Employee Guidelines.
  • Ensuresafety equipmentisin good workingcondition,andthemaintenanceschedule is executed.
  • Conduct Weekly /Monthly safety schedule trainingand maintain records and schedule of team training status.
  • Update/ create site specific HASP, JSA, Confined space, and other documents needed for each project.
  • Ensure skill trainingmatrix isupdated,and skill training is being assigned and conducted per standard
  • Ensure employee development,performance tracking,and evaluation are completedaccurately and on time.
  • Ensure portalsareup to date (Avetta, ISN)
  • Collaborate andassistin thedevelopment of new or modified technologies, Mockups, and unique applications of products.
  • Achieve Gross Profit Goals:
  • Track and execute labor hoursallocationsvs.estimate to achieve 100% laborefficiency.
  • Review and approveweeklytaskand assignmentschedules to maximize productivity.
  • Track, review,and manage expectations andactionplans to improvelaborperformance.

Requirements
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
  • Exceptional technical knowledge ofPipeline Services,including knowledgein:NACECoating Level 1 and 2,CCTVInspections,CIPPandUVliners.Read PipingDrawings.
  • Exceptionalability to read and critically interpret construction documents (including drawings) to understand project requirements, to proactivelyidentifypotential issues/risks, and to recommend mitigating strategies.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage project schedules and budgets.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong senseof urgency in completing project tasks and escalating issues (and potential issues).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, AND EDUCATION
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration/science–(MBA, VISigma, PM- Preferred)
  • Experience in:NACECoating Level 1 and 2,CCTVInspections,CIPPandUVliners.Read Piping Drawings.
  • Travelup to 75% of the time.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Will undergo a security/criminal background check and drug testing.
  • 5+ years inleadingmultiple projects andremoteteams,with ateam of 2-5 individuals perteam,with at least two years asaProject Manager.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The Project Manager will spend most his/her time working in an office environment. Must be able to operate a computer and work both in an office environment (20-40% ) and remotely (60-80%). Frequent visits to job sites to attend pre-bid meetings is also required, where any weather conditions may be encountered. While visiting job sites, the Project Manager must wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
