Job summary

MPI is seeking a Construction Project Manager in New Jersey to lead projects from preconstruction through closeout, building strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors on technically challenging, occupied environments.

The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of PM experience (or 1+ year for emerging leaders), a design-build background, and proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills; OSHA certification is a plus, with growth opportunities within

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of construction project management experience preferred.
  • Open to emerging Project Managers with at least 1 year of independent project leadership.
  • Proven ability to manage projects with minimal oversight.
  • Strong ownership mentality and accountability for project outcomes.
  • Experience with design-build delivery methods preferred.
  • Technical construction, building systems, or MEP-related experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in regulated, occupied, or operational environments is a plus.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or related field preferred, but not required.
  • OSHA certification preferred.
  • Proficiency with project management and construction software.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from preconstruction through final closeout.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and procurement activities.
  • Administer contracts, subcontract agreements, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate design, engineering, and construction activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead project meetings and communicate progress to key stakeholders.
  • Monitor project financials and ensure adherence to budget objectives.
  • Identify potential project risks and implement solutions to maintain schedule and cost goals.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with quality control and safety standards.
  • Coordinate project closeout activities, punch list completion, and turnover documentation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout project execution.

Description

The Construction Project Manager will:

  • Manage projects from preconstruction through final closeout
