Job summary

TK Elevator in Miami is seeking an experienced Project Manager- New Installation to coordinate project teams, align resources, and develop schedules to ensure timely completion within scope and budget.

You will manage risks, monitor performance with standard tools, and report to management while collaborating with the USFO Team on communications and progress.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of elevator industry project management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Project and scheduling tools (SureTrak) and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project team resources and develop schedules to ensure timely completion within scope and budget.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for efficiency and cost improvements.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation and progress reports for management.
  • Manage changes to scope, schedule, and cost using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Collaborate with USFO Team on communications and project performance.
  • Travel up to 25% as required.

Job description

TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager- New Installation in Miami, FL. Responsible for coordinating activities of project team, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Assists in identifying opportunities for improvement in efficiency and effectiveness of operational project management.
  • Fosters a culture of safety. Administers company safety program and training as needed.
  • Coordinates target specific programs and initiatives designed to improve performance within a product line, business unit, or specific project.
  • Assists in training of Branch Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure consistent performance within a product line.
  • Assists Regional Project Manager and Region Vice-Presidents with management/implementation of cost (financial & labor) tracking and reporting system(s) at a project, branch and district level.
  • Assess operational workflow, resource utilization, technology, and skills to identify efficiency gains.
  • Develops solutions to meet and exceed organizational goals, quality and cost objectives.
  • Coordinates internal resources from the flawless execution of projects.
  • Ensures that all projects are delivered in-time, with scope and within budget.
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Develop detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Understanding of Oracle and Servigistic programs
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project cost using appropriate verification techniques
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Report and report to management as needed
  • Successfully manage the relationship with all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and high-quality business updates
  • Work closely with USFO Team on all communication and project performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience working in the elevator industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of related experience and education is preferred.
  • Background in the fields of computer science and engineering preferred.
  • Solid Technical background with understand and/or hands-on experience in the Elevator Industry.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Scheduling and budget experience preferred.
  • Proven record of executing and managing successful complex projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, SureTrak, or other similar scheduling software and Microsoft Office, with emphasis in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Oracle experience is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to teamwork.
  • Ability to managing several projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability and comfort with a variety of evolving responsibilities.
  • Commitment to attainment of financial and/or labor efficiency goals.
  • Team player with strong communication skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of the management and financial aspects of large projects.
  • Some travel required, up to 25%.
