Qualifications

  • Registered Professional Engineer in Wisconsin
  • Proficiency with Civil 3D and AutoCAD
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team and independently
  • Authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship)

Robert E. Lee & Associates, Inc. is seeking to hire a motivated project manager to join our growing municipal engineering team. This full-time position is ideal for an ambitious mid-level civil engineer with approximately 7-10 years of experience in municipal design and project management. Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will serve as a project manager, responsible for leading municipal projects from planning through construction. On any given day, you’ll:

  • Manage and perform the design of municipal and civil engineering projects including design of sanitary sewer, watermain, storm sewer, roadway, storm water management, and site infrastructure improvements.
  • Develop plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D and specifications.
  • Oversee and prepare design reports, cost estimates, and permitting documents.
  • Manage projects from concept through construction, including scheduling, budgeting, and permitting.
  • Serve as the primary client contact, building and maintaining long-term relationships with municipal clients and agency partners.
  • Mentor the work of engineers, technicians, and designers.
  • Assist with proposal preparation, scope development, and fee estimates for new and existing clients.
  • Oversee construction administration tasks including bidding, contract documents, pay applications, and project closeout.
Skills and Requirements:
  • A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a municipal or transportation emphasis.
  • Registered Professional Engineer in Wisconsin.
  • 7-10 years of civil/municipal engineering experience, including design and project management responsibilities.
  • Experience in the following areas is beneficial: municipal design, Civil 3D, road design, modeling (water, sanitary sewer and storm water).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to learn and stay current with the latest design standards and procedures.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
