Job summary

SHL Medical is seeking a Project Manager to ensure successful implementation of a major project in a highly regulated GMP environment. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage scope, budgets, risks, and schedules from initiation through development, engaging customers and stakeholders along the way.

The role requires strong experience in project management within manufacturing, with the ability to coordinate internal resources and third parties, drive milestones, and ensure on-time delivery

Qualifications

• PMP Certification is a plus
• At least 5 years of project management experience
• Experience across manufacturing processes (injection molding, machining, rapid prototyping)
• Strong knowledge of performance evaluation and change management
• Understanding of human-centered design and usability research in engineering
• Deep knowledge of project management processes, methodologies, tools and techniques
• Advanced time and risk management skills
• Ability to lead teams and enable collaboration to meet objectives
• Ability to influence decisions critical to project success

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of complex mechanical medical devices and equipment
• Maintain oversight across all disciplines and escalate issues
• Understand Voice of the Customer and user needs
• Interact with customers and stakeholders across the full design and development process
• Define scope, objectives and milestones aligned with sponsors and managers
• Forecast resources and assemble project team with required skills
• Prepare and track budget to meet costs
• Develop detailed project schedule and work plan with the team
• Coordinate internal resources and vendors for flawless execution
• Monitor performance and identify improvements; adjust as needed
• Perform project risk management to minimize risks
• Manage scope, schedule and cost changes and communicate impacts
• Organize and lead regular project meetings and status updates
