This is an opportunity to join a leading mechanical contracting firm with a strong presence across the eastern United States. They have a diversified portfolio of commercial and government projects, including data centers, hospitals, sports stadiums, convention centers, hotels, and research laboratories.

Position Summary:

The Senior Project Manager leads assigned projects to successful completion by managing all aspects including scope, budget, schedule, and team coordination. The role ensures safety, profitability, and client satisfaction through proactive leadership and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day leadership and management of assigned commercial projects from start to finish.
• Independently direct project execution, risk mitigation, and resolution of issues.
• Drive project profitability, cash flow, and sales goals aligned with company objectives.
• Deliver timely and accurate project reports to executive leadership.
• Collaborate with PreConstruction, Scheduling, Purchasing, and other teams to meet project milestones.
• Serve as the primary client liaison, ensuring outstanding client service.
• Partner with estimators to confirm complete project scope and budget.
• Monitor and control project budgets and labor costs.
• Prepare detailed spreadsheets and financial reports.
• Maintain regular site presence and communication with project superintendents.
• Address employee concerns and enforce safety standards through audits and training.
• Lead toolbox talks and safety meetings on job sites.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage project personnel effectively.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• 5 to 10 years of direct experience managing large commercial construction projects.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA safety standards, building codes (IBC, ASHRAE, LEED), and local plumbing regulations.

Technical Skills:

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Experience with financial and project management software used in mechanical contracting.
