Mechanical Project Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Mechanical Project Manager will report directly to the Mechanical Operations Manager as well as Senior Leadership. The position encompasses responsibilities related to project management, strategic planning, and client customer service.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage various project assignments as directed by the Operations Manager or Director;
- Maintain proactive and positive client interactions throughout service delivery;
- Initiate continuous improvement initiatives and adopt technology enhancements;
- Foster open communication among project team members, consultants, inspectors, agencies, subcontractors, and trade participants;
- Adhere to Corporate Environmental, Health, and Safety Policies and Best Practices;
- Ensure all project documentation complies with contract terms, conditions, and project control requirements;
- Manage project finances, including commitments, contract changes, and claims for out-of-scope services;
- Assist Marketing with proposal development and presentations;
- Monitor market influences and subcontractor/vendor participation for competitive bidding;
- Support Procurement and Estimating with bid document distribution and scope review;
- Maintain project estimate document control per Standard Operating Practices;
- Evaluate project-specific concerns affecting productivity and scheduling;
- Participate in peer reviews to ensure project scope and constructability;
- Provide project data for scheduling and performance tracking;
- Assist in developing project-specific QA/QC programs;
- Ensure field compliance with specifications and technical requirements;
- Coordinate project close-out, start-up, and training activities;
- Engage in lessons learned, operational initiatives, and training for continuous improvement;
- Commit to ongoing professional development (e.g., LEED, OSHA certifications);
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Business Development Support
- Follow up with clients to identify opportunities and develop project strategies;
- Participate in RFP responses, including project approach, logistics, scheduling, and staffing considerations.
