Job summary

Collins Engineers, Inc., is looking for a motivated, self-starter to join our Port Arthur, TX office as a Structural Project Manager. This role will provide the opportunity to work on a variety of waterfront facility design and inspection projects, including but not limited to piers, wharves, seawalls, bulkheads, jetties, breakwaters, revetments, and marinas. The successful candidate will have a background in structural design of transportation and/or waterfront structures. This person can work from either the New Hampshire or Rhode Island office.

Typical Duties And Responsibilities

• Independently performs moderately difficult engineering computations involving conventional engineering practices.
• Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
• Performs inspection work and directs inspection staff on waterfront facility assessment projects.
• Field work required, which could include nights and weekends.
• Prepares and oversees complete engineering plan and report development.
• Performs construction support services, in the office and field, to ensure conformance with design plans and specifications.
• Responsible for project schedules and timely completion of projects.
• Monitors project budgets and works directly with clients.
• Ensures accurate client billings and monitors outstanding accounts receivable.
• Assists in proposal preparation, project scoping, estimating project costs, project planning, and project quality.
• Directs and supervises the work of entry-level engineers, technicians, drafters, and administrative staff.
• Other duties may be assigned.
