Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator focused on highway lighting and traffic signals for high-profile infrastructure projects. You will prepare detailed estimates and bid proposals, coordinating with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and owners.

The role emphasizes accuracy and timely delivery in a fast-paced environment. We value deep knowledge of electrical construction, takeoffs, pricing, and cost control, plus site visits to assess conditions and sequencing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years estimating highway lighting, traffic signals, or related electrical infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical construction, estimating techniques, takeoffs, pricing, and cost control.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Understanding of project sequencing, phasing, scheduling, labor, materials, and construction methods.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements.
• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs, labor estimates, material pricing, and complete project estimates.
• Solicit, organize, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Maintain accurate estimating documentation, pricing, bid tabs, and historical cost information.
• Participate in bid reviews, post-bid analysis, project handoffs, and owner meetings.
• Visit project sites to evaluate conditions, construction methods, sequencing, and potential cost impacts.

• Knowledge of highway lighting, traffic signalization, ITS, underground electrical, and associated infrastructure is highly desirable.
