Halff Associates, Inc. seeks a Project Manager in Richardson, TX for our Land Development team. The role oversees design, planning, and delivery on commercial, industrial and residential projects, and requires strong client relationships.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of civil engineering experience, a Texas PE, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D. This position offers career growth and opportunities to lead projects and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with clients, sub-consultants and design team to deliver projects on time and to spec.
  • Maintain proactive client communication and build trusted relationships.
  • Develop business opportunities and client networks in North Texas and beyond.
  • Oversee project design, planning and production as project engineer of record.
  • Mentor EITs, Lead Engineers and staff; guide training and development.
  • Manage multiple projects through life cycle from concept to construction.
  • Coordinate with authorities for permits and approvals.

Job description

Project Manager, Land Development - Richardson, TX

Halff has an immediate opening for a Project Manager in our Richardson office with our Land Development team. The ideal candidate brings at least 5-7 years of civil engineering experience with a commercial, industrial and residential projects. The selected individual will oversee design, planning, project delivery and other related services within the area. In addition, the selected individual will be responsible for client and city relationships and assisting in business development. What will you do:


  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary project team coordinating directly with clients, sub-consultants, and other design team members for successful completion of projects meeting client expectations, project deadlines, and quality standards.

  • Timely and responsive communication with client, addressing their needs, keeping them informed of project status, and acting as a trusted advisor.

  • Maintain and further develop client relationships throughout North Texas and beyond.

  • Identify and pursue new project opportunities by leveraging client interactions, market awareness, and professional networks.

  • Coordination with municipal and/or other authorities having jurisdiction for project requirements, submittals, process flow, and approvals.

  • Ownership of project technical design and production efforts as project engineer of record.

  • Supervise and provide project technical design and plan direction to Engineer in Training (EIT), Lead Engineer (PE), and technical staff, while assisting in their training and development.

  • Coordination of projects through full project life cycle from concept to construction.

  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, at various stages of design, permitting, and construction.


What you will need:


  • Bachelor or Master's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited University.

  • PE License in Texas.

  • 5-7 years of experience in Land Development.

  • Strong experience working in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

  • Client interaction and development.

  • Positive attitude as a team member and willingness to contribute to a collaborative workspace.
