Overview

Halff has an opening for a Civil Engineer with a Texas PE License to be a Project Manager on our growing Public Infrastructure/Public Works team based out of our Houston, TX office. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of public infrastructure design experience in the consulting industry or experience working with, or for, public sector clients. Municipal roadway, drainage, and pedestrian facility design experience is required. What You Will Do

Manage and oversee the design and construction of infrastructure projects, including municipal roadways, trails, and drainage improvements.
Strong design experience is required and project management experience and knowledge of working with local entities is preferred.
Manage design and plan production.
Manage clients and supervise technical staff.
Provide training/mentorship of other engineers.

What You Will Need

Bachelor\'s Degree or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in Texas or transferrable within 2 months
At least 5 to 10 years of experience in public infrastructure/public works, municipal roadway, drainage, and pedestrian facility design projects
Strong experience working with AutoCAD Civil3D (preferred) or MicroStation
Experience managing design and plan production
Ability to manage clients and supervise technical staff
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Previous experience working with public sector clients and business development communications is a plus
Experience in project scope development, professional services fee development and staffing projects is a plus
Strong ability to work in a team environment including multiple disciplines
A positive attitude, be self-directed yet a team player, and have a focus on quality, integrity and success
