Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee heavy civil construction and fencing projects in the Cleveland/Akron area. You will manage projects from preconstruction through closeout, reviewing plans and contracts and coordinating with field teams and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years PM experience, strong skills in handling change orders, RFIs, submittals, and billing, and proficiency in MS Office. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, drawings and contracts.

About The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee heavy civil construction and fencing projects in the Cleveland/Akron area. This role is ideal for a construction professional with strong project management skills, experience reviewing plans and contracts, and the ability to manage projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage project schedules, budgets, documentation, and overall execution.


• Review construction plans, specifications, contracts, and project scopes.


• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, additional work requests, and project billing.


• Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders.


• Identify and address potential scope gaps, contract risks, cost concerns, and schedule delays.


• Support procurement, material tracking, job cost reviews, and project closeout.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of project management experience in heavy civil construction, fencing, or a related field.


• Ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, drawings, and contracts.


• Experience with change orders, RFIs, submittals, billing, and construction documentation.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.


• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation & Benefits

• $105,000–$115,000 annual salary, based on experience.
