About the Role

PADCOM Design & Construction Management Services is seeking a Project Manager IV – TDIP Low Voltage Systems Integrator to support the Terminal Development Improvement Program at Los Angeles International Airport.

This role serves as the primary subject matter expert for airport IT, low-voltage, and special systems integration across multiple terminal modernization projects. The position is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, testing, commissioning, and integration of critical airport technology systems while ensuring alignment with LAWA standards, operational requirements, and stakeholder objectives.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing airport technology infrastructure, passenger processing systems, terminal management systems, and complex systems integration projects within active airport environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary liaison between project teams and LAWA Information Management & Technology (IMT) representatives.
  • Act as the airport owner’s representative for IT systems integration and implementation activities.
  • Coordinate with CBP, TSA, airline stakeholders, contractors, and system owners regarding technology infrastructure requirements.
  • Review and validate IT implementation costs and systems integration budgets.
  • Oversee buildout, testing, and commissioning of IT rooms, network infrastructure, horizontal cabling, and backbone systems.
  • Coordinate migration, integration, and commissioning activities for airport technology systems.
  • Lead integration workshops through deployment and final commissioning phases.
  • Support implementation of passenger processing, baggage handling, flight information, CCTV, Wi‑Fi, access control, public address, and ramp management systems.
  • Coordinate deployment of aircraft guidance systems (VDGS) and other airport operational technologies.
  • Support implementation of building automation systems, lighting controls, power monitoring systems, and facility management control systems.
  • Coordinate with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with LAWA security requirements.
  • Review construction documents, RFIs, submittals, and technical specifications for compliance and constructability.
  • Coordinate with designers, contractors, and stakeholders to establish project milestones and implementation strategies.
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation plans for schedule, integration, and operational impacts.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide technical guidance throughout project delivery.
  • Manage IT systems turnover, documentation, and closeout activities.
  • Promote safe work practices and compliance with project safety standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Aviation, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Planning, Information Technology, or related technical field
Experience
  • Minimum 15 years of professional experience in systems integration, technology infrastructure, construction management, or project management
  • Experience on projects valued at more than $100 million
  • Experience working in active airport environments preferred
  • Experience with Design‑Bid‑Build, CMAR, and Design‑Build delivery methods
  • Proven ability to perform in a management and leadership capacity
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting airport terminal modernization programs
  • Experience integrating passenger processing, baggage handling, and airport operational systems
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, PE, LEED, AAAE, AICP, or other relevant credentials
  • Experience with cybersecurity compliance and enterprise IT integration
  • Working knowledge of CAD and Revit platforms
Skills & Knowledge
  • Extensive knowledge of airport IT infrastructure and systems integration practices
  • Strong understanding of low‑voltage and special systems implementation
  • Knowledge of airport technology systems, including:
    • Passenger Processing Systems
    • Baggage Handling Systems (BHS)
    • Terminal Management Systems
    • CCTV and Security Systems
    • Access Control Systems (ACAMS)
    • Flight Information Display Systems (FIDS)
    • Public Address Systems
    • Wi‑Fi and Communications Infrastructure
    • Aircraft Guidance Systems (VDGS)
    • Building Automation Systems (BAS)
    • Lighting Control Systems
  • Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Strong problem‑solving, leadership, and decision‑making skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam
Work Conditions & Requirements
  • Onsite position at LAX (not remote)
  • May require extended hours, night work, or weekend work as needed
  • Must be able to work in active airport operational environments
  • May be assigned additional duties as required
