Job summary

Walbec Group is offering a Project Manager Summer 2027 Internship to students pursuing Construction Management or Civil Engineering. The role provides exposure to scheduling, budgeting, reporting, and on-site activities across Midwest projects.

You will work with Construction Managers, subcontractors, and vendors, supporting documentation, safety, and quality control while developing professional relationships within a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Self-starter and ability to work independently.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project scheduling, coordination, budgets, progress reports, and weekly project schedules.
• Support quantity reporting, cost tracking, labor budgets, and material scheduling.
• Communicate with Construction Managers, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain project updates.
• Assist with material requisitions, project documentation, and general project administration.
• Participate in jobsite visits and observe construction activities, progress, and quality.
• Assist with addressing project delays, weather impacts, and other jobsite challenges.
• Support site safety efforts and participate in owner, subcontractor, and project meetings.
• Assist with quality control and building positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, and project team members.
