Job summary

ARCO Companies in Fort Lauderdale seeks a Project Manager to oversee interior projects from tenant improvements to build-to-suit opportunities. You will guide projects from preconstruction through closeout, coordinating clients, design teams, and subcontractors to ensure on-budget delivery.

You will drive preconstruction planning, value engineering, and risk management while maintaining high standards for quality and safety.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 4-6 years' of construction management or engineering design experience, preferably for interior projects.
• Previous experience leading ground-up commercial or industrial projects is preferred.
• Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of project from preconstruction through closeout.
• Work with clients and design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budget.
• Participate in proposal meetings to review scope, discuss cost reductions, provide value engineering ideas, and negotiate contracts & fees.
• Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout process for all trades and vendors.
• Identify opportunities to procure materials or specialty equipment directly when advantageous to budget or schedule.
• Develop and review subcontractor scopes of work/contracts, schedules, and site logistics plans.
• Lead preconstruction planning meetings with designers, subcontractors and vendors to solve constructability issues.
• Manage multiple activities to achieve desired results and track project performance vs budget.
