Job summary

Selectek seeks a Project Manager for pipeline and facilities construction and maintenance projects in the Houston area. You will support operations and maintenance, oversee midstream initiatives including integrity digs, hydro testing, valve replacement, and remediation.

Responsibilities include defining scopes and budgets, leading cross-functional teams, ensuring safety/compliance, managing schedules and cash flow, and communicating with management and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience for pipeline and facilities construction midstream projects (Integrity Digs).
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Civil).
  • Experience with Hydro Test and Valve Replacement work.

Responsibilities

  • Define and prepare job scopes and cost estimates.
  • Provide leadership to project teams including multiple internal/external service providers.
  • Create and direct project controls and maintain documentation for compliance.
  • Deliver presentations to management and stakeholders; communicate status and proposals.

Job description

Our client is a leader in the pipeline infrastructure field and has an immediate need for a Project Manager to help with pipeline and facilities construction/maintenance projects for midstream work. A background working with integrity dig projects is ideal with experience handling hydro testing, valve replacement, as well as remediation. The role provides project management support to operations and maintenance personnel and manages a broad range of capital and major maintenance projects primarily for crude oil and refined product facilities, terminals and pipelines. Projects include, but are not limited to, pipeline relocations, piping modifications and upgrades, meter stations and compressor stations.

Essential duties and responsibilities
  • Define and prepare job scopes and cost estimates
  • Provide leadership and direction to project team that may be comprised of internal and external service providers including but not limited to Product Movement, project engineers, planning engineers, operations, environmental services, field personnel, procurement, design engineering, engineering contractors, survey contractors, construction contractors, ROW, permitting, EH&S, Control Center Deal with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy and professionalism
  • Create and direct the controls for assigned projects
  • Provide or direct the appropriate level of project documentation during the project and following completion to assure compliance with Corporate, Federal, State and other governing bodies policies
  • Prepare and deliver presentations that communicate project proposals, descriptions and status to upper management, governmental agencies and/or the public
  • Communicate the status of developmental activities to business sponsors using written and verbal communications
  • Manage projects in a manner that assures safety, reliability, environmental and human impacts are mitigated while meeting the project goals (including but not limited to Schedule, Budget, Safety and overall Quality)
  • Manage project finances and prepare accurate monthly project cash flow forecast
  • Manage project schedules
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills and listen carefully communicate with management on goals and objectives
  • Ensure ongoing improvement through evaluation of current processes
  • Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and high level of performance
  • Maintain a high regard for personal safety, for the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public.
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Civil)
  • 5 Plus years of Project Management experience for pipeline and facilities construction midstream projects for Integrity Digs
  • Experience with Hydro Test and Valve Replacement work
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license
