About the Role

Our client, a major player in infrastructure development and utilities, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to oversee critical projects in the Upington, Northern Cape, ZA region. This role is vital for managing the planning, execution, and delivery of essential infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet stringent quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, construction project management, or a related field, with a proven ability to manage complex projects, budgets, and timelines. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring a dedicated presence to ensure effective coordination with site teams, stakeholders, and local authorities. You will be instrumental in shaping the infrastructure landscape of the Northern Cape.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end management of infrastructure and utilities projects, from conceptualization to completion.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, budgets, schedules, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
• Manage project teams, including engineers, contractors, and site personnel, ensuring efficient workflow and high performance.
• Oversee procurement processes, vendor management, and contract administration.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality control measures.

Requirements

• A Master's degree or professional registration (e.g., Pr. Eng) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with a strong focus on infrastructure or utilities projects (e.g., water, power, telecommunications).
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction or infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction methodologies, and relevant regulatory frameworks.

• Experience with project management software and tools.
