Job summary

ENECON Corporation in Claymont, Delaware seeks a field-proven coatings professional transitioning to project management. You will own repair and protection projects from site walk to closeout, including scoping, scheduling crews, managing materials, safety, QC, and serving as the customer’s single point of contact.

This role requires hands-on coatings background, crew leadership, and proficiency in estimating and Excel.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on industrial coatings, linings, or composite repair experience.
• 1+ year leading crews as foreman or lead hand; OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred.
• Familiar with SSPC/NACE surface prep standards and high-performance materials.

Responsibilities

• Walk sites with customers and assess equipment condition: pumps, heat exchangers, tanks, cooling towers, pipe, and concrete.
• Scope projects, build labor and material estimates, and help prepare proposals.
• Schedule and coordinate field crews, subcontractors, equipment, and materials.
• Oversee surface prep and application of METALCLAD, CHEMCLAD, FLEXICLAD, and ENECRETE systems to spec.
• Own site safety, QC documentation, and closeout reports.
• Track job budgets and schedules, and flag changes early
• Build relationships with plant maintenance and engineering managers that lead to repeat work.

For 36 years, ENECON has rebuilt and protected critical industrial equipment with engineered ceramic- and polymer-composite repair systems. We fix equipment instead of replacing it, for water/wastewater, power, oil and gas, marine, pulp and paper, and commercial HVAC facilities.

The Role

We're looking for a field-proven coatings professional ready to move into project management. You'll own ENECON repair and protection projects from site walk to closeout. That means scoping, scheduling crews, managing materials, running safety and QC, and being the customer's single point of contact.

What You'll Do

• Walk sites with customers and assess equipment condition: pumps, heat exchangers, tanks, cooling towers, pipe, and concrete
• Scope projects, build labor and material estimates, and help prepare proposals
• Schedule and coordinate field crews, subcontractors, equipment, and materials
• Oversee surface prep and application of METALCLAD, CHEMCLAD, FLEXICLAD, and ENECRETE systems to spec
• Own site safety, QC documentation, and closeout reports
• Track job budgets and schedules, and flag changes early
• Build relationships with plant maintenance and engineering managers that lead to repeat work

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on industrial coatings, linings, or composite repair experience
• 1+ year leading crews as a foreman or lead hand
• Working knowledge of surface prep standards (SSPC/NACE) and high-performance materials (100%-solids epoxies, ceramic composites, novolacs, polyureas)
• OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred
• Comfortable with estimating, scheduling, email, and Excel
• Must pass a background check and drug screen
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Occasional travel, including some overnights and weekends

Preferred

• SSPC C-1/C-3 or AMPP/NACE Coating Inspector certification
• Experience in water/wastewater, power, or HVAC/mechanical facilities
