Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate industrial coating, sandblasting, surface preparation, and painting activities on multiple projects.
  • Review project specifications, drawings, coating systems, and client requirements.
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, manpower allocation, and resource management.
  • Coordinate procurement and delivery of coatings, blast media, equipment, and consumable materials.
  • Monitor project progress and communicate updates to project management and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and environmental requirements.
  • Support quality control activities, including coating inspections, documentation, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain project records, daily reports, production tracking, and material usage reports.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field crews to ensure work is completed on schedule.
  • Participate in project meetings, site walkthroughs, and client updates.
  • Identify and resolve project issues related to scheduling, materials, productivity, and quality.
  • Support project closeout activities, including final documentation and turnover packages.

This role offers an opportunity to work on complex industrial projects while serving as a key link between project management, field personnel, and clients.

Position Summary

The Industrial Coating Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing industrial coating and corrosion protection projects from planning through completion. This role ensures projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and client requirements. The coordinator serves as a liaison between project managers, field personnel, inspectors, subcontractors, vendors, and customers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of SSPC/AMPP coating standards and inspection requirements.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • AMPP Coating Inspector or related industry certifications.
  • PMP or other project management certifications.

  • Ability to work in varied weather and site conditions.
