Job summary

TWC Concrete is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead projects in the Indianapolis area. The PM serves as the primary company representative on site, driving all phases from initiation to closeout and ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, and quality standards.

You will oversee project controls, staffing coordination, and financial management, while maintaining strong communication with clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and interpret business/technical documents and specs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication across all levels.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and project documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project controls, documentation, and reporting throughout the project.
  • Create detailed schedules with time and value baselines and monitor profits.
  • Coordinate staffing with Operations Manager and General Superintendent.
  • Manage contract finances including changes, payments, and monthly projections.
  • Oversee quality control, as-built submissions, and closeout activities.
  • Represent the company at project meetings and ensure timely closeouts.

Job description

TWC Concrete is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the team in our Indianapolis, IN region. The Project Manager is the primary representative of TWC Concrete on each project and is fully responsible for every phase of the project’s operation and completion. He or she provides the overall leadership required and performs in a professional and effective manner.

What You Will Do:

  • Initiate project controls and documentation (daily, weekly & monthly reports, RFI’s, field orders, minutes and correspondence.) Oversee and ensure these are maintained throughout the life of the project.
  • Formulate goals and objectives of the project and illustrate them in detailed project schedules of both time and values. Review with the team and identify baseline profit goals and submit to the VP of Operations and/or Operations Manager.
  • Coordinate staffing requirements with the Operations Manager and/or General Superintendent.
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts, including changes orders, applications for payment, contractor and supplier payments, equipment rentals, back charges, etc. Prepare a monthly financial projection and attend a monthly financial review with the Vice President of Operations or Operations Manager. Monitor and control construction activity and represent the company at project meetings. Set up post award pre-construction meetings with large, key sub-contractors and perform a “page turn” review of the project with the designated team.
  • Take the lead on quality control and ensure measures are taken within TWC policy. Oversee control logs, deviation reports and other QC measures to ensure not only deviations are acknowledged but resolved in a timely manner. Oversee that all appropriate as-builts are received and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Establish early closeouts goals and oversee the closeout process to ensure timely closeout, warranty and final as built submission and final payment are achieved in a timely manner.
  • Other duties as directed by the Operations Manager and/or VP of Operations.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management and a minimum of five (5) years of construction experience; or equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business and technical documents, cost reports, legal and regulatory documents and plans, drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of field management, craftsmen, and customers.
  • Proficient with Microsoft software programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Vista & Keystyle
