Job summary

Beacon Technologies is seeking a Project Manager to lead BI/Analytics, data lake, MDM, data integration, and governance initiatives for a client partner. The role requires strong analytical skills, agile leadership, and the ability to manage multiple scrum boards across projects and operations.

Must be a Wisconsin resident; no relocation; 100% remote within Wisconsin. The ideal candidate will guide teams, remove roadblocks, and communicate with stakeholders to deliver value to business partners

Qualifications

• Experience leading and managing multiple agile teams using Scrum/agile methodologies, including BI/DW projects.
• Ability to blend agile and traditional project management principles to fit project needs.
• Experience developing teams, removing roadblocks, and mentoring members.
• Experience directing and monitoring daily work, identifying resources, and escalating issues.
• Sufficient technical experience with data management and analytics to lead technical teams.
• Experience tracking progress via JIRA and other PM tools.

Job description

Beacon Technologies is seeking a Project Manager for our client partner. Our client's team is responsible for BI/Analytics, a data lake platform, master data management (MDM), data integration, data conversion, data quality, data architecture, data modeling, data literacy, and data governance. This position will work on a small, collaborative team that uses agile practices to deliver value to our business partners. This position must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and identify innovative solutions. This position must have strong technical knowledge in data management and experience in managing multiple scrum boards for both project work and operations. Must be a Wisconsin resident. No relocation is allowed. This position can work 100% remote within Wisconsin.

Key Requirements:

• Experience leading and managing multiple agile teams using Scrum/agile methodologies. Must have experience leading scrums for business intelligence and data warehousing.
• Knowledge of both agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.
• Experience in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project/operational work; and mentoring and developing team members.
• Experience directing and monitoring work efforts daily, identifying resource needs, performing quality review; and escalating functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately.
• Sufficient technical experience with data management and analytics to provide highly credible leadership to technical teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks, issues, and roadblocks.
• Managing team progress/status through JIRA.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, ability to influence others and to interact with individuals at all levels.
• Ability to work productively with cross-functional working groups and across organizational layers.
• Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building.
• Ability to develop and deliver presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge and understanding of business needs with the ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence.
• Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience in agile project management tools such as Jira or equivalent.
• Preferred experience implementing SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).
