Qualifications

  • 4-year degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, preferred.
  • Strong understanding of milling, paving, and heavy excavation operations.
  • Strong knowledge of CPM Scheduling, cost estimation and budget, contract management, procurement, safety, stake‑holder and client communication, cost control and financial oversight.
  • Experience with B2W products and Vista Viewpoint.
  • Proficient verbal and written English.
  • Track record of strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Legal right to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate field operations and administrative work across multiple projects.
  • Communicate regularly with the General Manager, project managers, superintendents, foremen, suppliers and customers regarding job cost and progress.
  • Maintain a Safety Culture promoting a zero‑incident environment and safety leadership.
  • Foster teamwork and a one‑company sense of purpose for the team.
  • Drive profit and continuously improve value through better than bid tactics.
  • Develop SOPs and maintain a 2‑week lookahead schedule process with regular scheduling meetings.
  • Visit sites to inspect projects before bids and during construction.
  • Understand regional market dynamics and assist in execution of performance tactics.
  • Utilize job cost reports to monitor financials and identify gains or losses.
  • Attend regular meetings on job sites and manage project invoices.

Position Description
Job Summary:

The Project Manager III plays a critical role in overseeing projects and ensuring their successful execution, with a strong emphasis on scheduling and financial oversight. This individual will be responsible for developing and managing project timelines to ensure all deadlines are met, coordinating with subcontractors to facilitate an efficient workflow, and overseeing project budgets through cost monitoring and financial analysis. In addition, the Project Manager III will work closely with estimators to aid in gathering information and streamline the review process of bids, ensuring that all relevant data is considered for informed decision‑making. Throughout the project lifecycle, the Project Manager III will collaborate with other project managers, superintendents and clients to maintain satisfaction and track progress. Ultimately, this role is focused on guiding projects to successful completion in partnership with Superintendents and the General Manager.

Develop a standard operating procedure to enable performance and growth with key responsibilities such as driving a consistent 2‑week lookahead schedule process, orchestrating project scheduling meetings and hand‑offs, monitoring job costs and improving performance margins, attending regular meetings on job sites, and approving project specific invoices.

  • Mastery. Understand regional market dynamics and assist in the execution of tactics to enhance performance – continuously seek to improve.
  • Dedication. Utilise job cost reports to monitor job financials closely and swiftly identify any gains or losses on a project specific basis.

Travel

Position may require up to 40% travel by personal vehicle to offices throughout the state of New York and New England based on the needs of the business.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

This is mostly sedentary outside of traveling to construction sites. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers. The job will require frequent traveling in the field and various construction sites. This would require the ability to sit at a desk, frequent walking, bend or stand as necessary. Heavy work that includes moving objects up to 50 lb. or more. This position works on or near moving mechanical parts and loud equipment. Requires the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time as well as lifting, pulling, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, walking, reaching, driving, and repetitive motion.
