Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/IS or related field preferred.
  • PMP certification strongly preferred for PM II.
  • Minimum 5 years directing technical and non-technical staff.
  • Experience on projects with costs of $1,000,000+.
  • Advanced knowledge of PM methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to adapt to sudden project shifts and manage impact.
  • Strong decision-making, planning, negotiation and problem-solving.

Job description

  • Plan, execute, control and close assigned projects to meet business needs, quality standards, time constraints and budgets
  • Coordinate with resource managers and product owners to identify project resources and timing
  • Establish and monitor project budgets
  • Define project scope, assess risks, create work breakdown structures and workplans, and develop schedules
  • Align projects with organizational strategic objectives
  • Identify project risks and impacts and provide analysis to the Enterprise Project Management Office Director
  • Serve as a liaison for one or more business areas, providing guidance on future-state planning and project initiation
  • Ensure business and system development methodologies are followed
  • Oversee user and technical documentation, testing, training and post-implementation reviews
  • Ensure project work follows governance procedures
  • Monitor project progress and initiate corrective action for variances
  • Provide project updates to governance groups
  • Recommend portfolio project management initiatives based on available resources and client needs
  • Mentor project management specialists
  • Incorporate organizational change management considerations into projects
  • Manage day-to-day vendor activities
  • Meet attendance and punctuality expectations
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Information Systems or related field is strongly preferred
  • Successful completion of PMP certification is strongly preferred for the Project Manager II level
  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience directing technical and non-technical staff in implementing projects using software development methodologies
  • Experience with projects having minimum associated costs of $1,000,000
  • Ability to provide seamless, trustworthy, attentive and resourceful customer service
  • Ability to engage well with others and provide an exemplary customer experience
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices and change management techniques
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to sudden project shifts and proactively identify and manage their impact
  • Strong decision-making, planning, organizing, negotiation, facilitation, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Technical and business knowledge sufficient to lead discussions, provide guidance and influence direction with technical and business groups
  • Ability to lead teams and make timely decisions while maintaining or improving morale
  • Ability to lead multiple projects of moderate to high complexity
  • Ability to apply financial forecasting skills to project management methodology
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external customers
  • Successful completion of criminal background, credit, fingerprint, drug screen and reference checks as applicable
