Qualifications

  • Ability to learn new tools and excellent communication
  • Ability to plan, facilitate meetings, and manage multiple projects
  • PMP or similar certification desired but not required

Job description

• Analyze, create requirements for, plan, and deliver updates for assigned programs and related services
• Drive overall strategy and roadmap, research, requirements, and coordination for assigned programs
• Manage program scope, planning, business requirements, implementation, and software update delivery
• Translate business requirements into customer deliverables
• Schedule product release timelines with IT and coordinate development and production releases
• Drive work process improvement activities
• Define and document business requirements for new products or services
• Conduct market analysis and innovation strategy activities
• Interface with end-users and business analysts to define business rules and document workflows, functional hierarchies, process models, revenue models, and fee schedules
• Prepare program development objectives and schedules through client introduction
• Review state and federal requirements and regulations to support regulatory compliance
• Manage deliverables, issue tracking, compliance issues, and report delivery
• Communicate status, schedules, and changes to internal and external clients
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams throughout the program development lifecycle
• Manage large-scale, strategic, complex projects from start to finish
• Develop client communications and attend client calls to address program questions and issues
• Maintain program documentation, report guides, policies, procedures, work instructions, and training materials
• Serve as a subject matter expert, educate clients, and provide expertise and training to other departments
• Mentor less experienced program management team members and support cross-training
• Define metrics to measure program and service process success
• Monitor vendor operations and coordinate vendor changes when applicable
• Provide internal and external client support and customer service

Requirements
  • BS/BA and 9+ years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 6 years of SME experience in respective areas
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Project and Visio
  • Intermediate knowledge of at least one content management system (e.g. SharePoint, Confluence, wiki)
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new software tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to plan and facilitate effective meetings
  • Business requirements gathering and detailed project plan development and maintenance
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize competing demands
  • Advanced presentation skills
  • Organization and attention to detail
  • Basic process improvement skills using agile, lean, or six sigma tools and practices
  • Basic to intermediate product management skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills across single and multiple areas
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional and virtual teams
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, or holidays as required
  • This position is not eligible for Sponsorship
  • PMP or other project management certification desired, but not required
  • SQL query development, Golden32 or equivalent database browsing software, and Excel macro programming are desirable but not required
