Job summary

Rivet seeks a Project Manager II to lead facility-related operations in the Washington DC area, supporting Naval information warfare programs. You’ll manage schedules, risk assessments, audits, and multi‑location teams while ensuring security, safety, and timely deliverables.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree, 3+ years in security environments, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. Strong communication and CAD familiarity are required for success.

Responsibilities

  • Identify deficiencies around the facility and take corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with facility entities to input trouble tickets and ensure repairs.
  • Manage day-to-day contract support operations across multiple locations and teams.
  • Provide a consolidated project schedule with milestones and dependencies.
  • Respond to interruptions of business operations to mitigate damage and restore operations.
  • Maintain an accurate electronic inventory of identified assets.
  • Review designs and implement new processes to improve operations with stakeholders.
  • Perform site visits to ensure scope compliance and create stakeholder reports.
  • Conduct risk assessments affecting project success and employee safety.
  • Support safety programs to maintain OSHA compliance.
  • Maintain compliance with OSS, IA, and Foreign Disclosure programs.
  • Deliver all project documentation, briefing materials, reports, and meeting minutes.
  • Conduct daily building walks and monitor services desk requests.

Overview

Job Title: Project Manager II Location: Washington DC Area

Rivet Operations Company “Rivet” has an opening for an Project Manager to join our rapidly growing team in San Diego, CA. The Project Manager will support the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command by providing command operations professional support services. Rivet is a leader in physical and cyber security, financial management, logistics, and facilities management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify deficiencies around the facility and take corrective actions to fix concerns.
  • Coordinate with facility entities to input trouble tickets and ensure repairs are completed.
  • Performs day-to-day management of overall contract support operations, possibly involving multiple projects and groups of personnel at multiple locations. Organizes, directs and coordinates the planning and production of all contract support activities. Has authority and responsibility to identify and commit resources required to support effort.
  • Specialized Experience: Experience in Financial Management, Cost Estimating, Procurement Strategic Planning and Execution, or Business Management. Must be capable of leading projects that involve the successful management of multi-functional teams. Specialized experience includes project development, expertise in management and control of funds and resources, and demonstrated capability in managing multiple tasks.
  • Provide a consolidated project schedule that is updated frequently. Ensure projects are listed with milestones and dependencies. Maintain timetables and ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Respond to interruptions of business operations to mitigate damage and restore normal operations.
  • Maintain an accurate electronic inventory of identified assets.
  • Review designs, implement new processes and improvements in operations with stakeholders.
  • Review designs, implement new processes, and support continuous improvement for the duration of the project.
  • Perform site visits to ensure compliance with scope of work, note discrepancies, and create reports to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Perform risk assessments affecting successful project completion and employee work environment.
  • Support safety operations and programs designed to maintain OSHA compliance.
  • Maintain compliance with all Operational Security, Information Assurance, and Foreign Disclosure programs.
  • Responsible for all deliverables for the project including written documentation, briefing materials, studies, meeting minutes, and various reports.
  • Conduct daily building walks to monitor the operation and condition of the facility.
  • Monitor for services desk request resolution.
  • Conduct energy surveys by building every week and provide weekly summary to the Facility Manager.
  • Coordinate the completion of services desk request with customer, submit maintenance work orders in various work order systems, and support walkthroughs and final project punch-list tasks as part of the Move Management Support team.
Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Word, and Adobe Acrobat Professional
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and other design and mapping software of assets
  • Ability to work with various Navy and Marine Corps Systems
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Bachelor’s level degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 years of professional experience in security environment
  • Must be a US Citizen able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance for the position

Education / Experience / Certifications:

  • Personnel performing on this effort shall be U.S. citizens
  • Personnel are required to successfully obtain and maintain background investigations for base access
  • Bachelor’s level degree

Experience: Applicants must have the experience, education, or training that demonstrates the ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures. Applicants must demonstrate the ability or have endorsements that indicate the ability to learn and perform the cited position's duties. Must demonstrate knowledge of security classification methods, concepts, eligibility for access to classified or sensitive information and the process for granting personnel security clearances/accesses, and knowledge of commonly applied security principles, concepts, and methodologies in carrying out information, personnel, and physical security programs related to the protection of SCI. Specialist should have knowledge of the methods of performing such duties as conducting inspections and investigations, collecting and analyzing information, etc., and skill in weighing the impact of variables such as critical personnel qualifications, variations in building construction characteristics, access and entry restrictions, equipment availability, and other issues that influence the course of actions taken in resolving security questions and issues.

Security Clearance: Position requires applicant to be a US Citizen and able to obtain the required security clearance for the position.

Physical Requirements: Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required. Lifting to 40 lbs.
