Qualifications

It serves as an intermediate step in project management, requiring a deeper understanding of project management processes, tools, and principles.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of projects aligned with company objectives.
  • Manage resources and collaborate with project teams to ensure project milestones, deliverables, and deadlines are achieved.
  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure project scope, objectives, and expectations are clearly defined and maintained.
  • Conduct research and review jurisdictional zoning ordinances, utility regulations, permit requirements, and entitlement processes as they relate to wireless telecommunications facilities.
  • Prepare preliminary zoning and permitting analyses and effectively communicate findings and recommendations to clients, internal stakeholders, and jurisdictional authorities.
  • Prepare, submit, and track zoning, permitting, and entitlement applications in accordance with project requirements and local regulations.
  • Review architectural drawings, engineering plans, and supporting documentation to support permitting and entitlement efforts.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, municipalities, utilities, and cross-functional teams to obtain required approvals and permits.
  • Work diligently to facilitate jurisdictional approvals and maintain project schedules and timelines.
  • Effectively manage and communicate ongoing project status, milestones, and risks to clients and key stakeholders.
  • Lead project review meetings to identify risks, establish deliverables, and drive successful project execution.
  • Identify and assess risks within projects, developing and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure smooth execution.
  • Assume financial ownership of assigned projects by tracking and managing revenue, costs, budgets, forecasts, billing milestones, and financial performance metrics to support project profitability and alignment with company objectives.
  • Create and maintain detailed project documentation, including records, reports, schedules, budgets, forecasts, and project controls.
  • Analyze project data to generate metrics and provide actionable insights to leadership for informed decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with subcontractor and vendor requirements, including insurance and other contractual obligations.
  • Establish compliance with company and regional processes for communication, project management, engineering, and quality standards.
  • Monitor and optimize workflows across systems and tools to improve efficiency and streamline project operations.
  • Facilitate cross-functional project reviews, project closeouts, and lessons-learned sessions.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for project stakeholders, facilitating communication and resolving conflicts.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support project goals.
Minimum Education And Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2-4+ years of project management experience
Preferred And Additional Eligibility Qualifications
  • PMP Certification
  • Telecommunications industry experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting small cell, DAS, macro, fiber, or wireless infrastructure deployments preferred.
  • Knowledge of zoning, permitting, entitlement, and jurisdictional approval processes related to telecommunications infrastructure preferred.
  • Familiarity with California right-of-way (ROW) utility regulations and permitting requirements preferred.

Direct/Indirect Supervisory Responsibility

Work Environment/Physical Demands/Travel Required
  • Office environment with long periods of sitting and computer work.
  • Full-time role, 40 hours per week, with occasional travel to client offices, municipal agencies, and project sites as needed.
