Job summary

TalentBurst is seeking a Project Manager II in Cary, NC, for a 12+ month engagement. The role focuses on cross-functional workshop facilitation, integrated schedule management in monday.com, and cost/control oversight for BioPharma programs.

The candidate should have 5–7 years of PM experience in cGMP environments, with expertise in MS Project, Excel, and Google Workspace. PMP preferred.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, or related field.
• 5–7 years of PM experience in cGMP BioPharma or pharma site start-up, commissioning, or tech transfer operations.
• Proficiency in monday.com, MS Project, Excel, and Google Workspace.
• PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead cross-functional workshops and alignment sessions.
• Build and baseline workstream schedules in monday.com aligned with the Master IS.
• Track workstream costs: PO drawdowns, invoices, vendor spend, cost variances.
• Assist resource loading and capacity planning; manage RAID logs and actions.
• Draft 3-page status reports and governance summaries for Tier 2/3 forums.

Job Title: Project Manager II

Job Description

Key Responsibilities & Objectives

• Workstream Facilitation: Plan and lead high-value cross-functional workshops, alignment sessions, and recurring Tier 2 workstream execution huddles.
• monday.com Schedule Management: Build, maintain, and baseline workstream-level integrated schedules on monday.com, ensuring logic ties and milestone alignment with the Master Integrated Schedule (IS).
• Workstream Cost Control: Track financial performance for assigned workstreams, monitoring PO drawdowns, invoice approvals, vendor spend, and cost variance reporting.
• Resource Loading Support: Assist Workstream Leads in resource loading and capacity planning to prevent operational bottlenecks during ramp-up phases. RAID Log & Action Management: Maintain and actively drive resolution for assigned workstream RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) and Action Item registers.
• Governance Reporting: Support Workstream Leads in drafting standard 3-page status reports, 4-pillar health checks, exception reports, and executive summaries for Tier 2 and Tier 3 governance forums.

B. Qualifications & Experience Requirements

Education: B.S. in Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, or related technical field. PMP certification preferred.

Industry Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of project management experience within cGMP BioPharma / Pharmaceutical Site Start-Up, commissioning, or tech transfer operations.

Platform Expertise: Advanced proficiency in monday.com, MS Project, Excel, and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive).

Key Competencies: Strong workshop facilitation, stakeholder management, cross-functional risk mitigation, and fluency in pharma manufacturing terminologies.
