Job summary

The role manages consulting and engineering firms and construction contractors, prepares budgets and cost estimates, tracks progress, and communicates status through regular reports.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of construction project management principles.
• Experience managing large, complex highway/public works projects.
• Strong communication and written reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project from initiation to closeout within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Coordinate design, permitting, real estate, procurement, and construction activities.
• Manage consulting/engineering firms and contractors to meet requirements.
• Prepare budgets, cost estimates, and change orders; update schedules.
• Act as primary state contact for field activities and ensure permits and approvals.
• Provide monthly/quarterly updates and document closeout.
