Pepper Construction is seeking a Project Manager in Chicago to own a variety of projects, mentoring junior staff and ensuring safety, quality, and financial success from start to close. The role emphasizes strong communication, leadership, and client relations to exceed expectations on each project.

You will collaborate with Preconstruction and Field teams to scope, estimate, and buyout, while managing budgets, schedules, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years construction management experience.
• Experience in K-12, Higher Education, Industrial, and Senior Living markets.
• High level of communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams to ensure safety, quality and on-time completion.
• Scope, estimate, and buyout projects with Preconstruction team.
• Develop and manage project budgets and costs through completion.
• Oversee subcontractor bid process and subcontracts negotiation.
• Plan and schedule projects; monitor progress and resolve conflicts.
• Capable of independently managing projects $15 million and above.
