Job summary

Syncreon Consulting is seeking a Project Manager I – Non-IT with hedge funds to lead complex client onboarding, conversion, and implementation initiatives. You will oversee 3–5 launches concurrently with an average 12‑week timeline, coordinating assets, processes, and governance across Operations, Product, Technology, and Legal teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex client onboarding, conversion, implementation, and new business projects from initiation through completion.
• Oversee 3–5 client launches simultaneously, with a typical implementation timeline of ~12 weeks.
• Coordinate the conversion of client assets, processes, and procedures from current custodians to the organization.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and assignments.
• Establish and maintain project governance using standard project management tools and artifacts.
• Coordinate planning, scheduling, reporting, issue tracking, and risk management activities.
• Partner with internal teams (Operations, Product, Technology, Legal) for successful onboarding and conversion.
• Serve as primary coordination point between clients and internal stakeholders.
• Drive accountability across teams to meet milestones and deadlines.
• Lead client conversion and process improvement initiatives.
• Provide project leadership, recommendations, and solutions for complex implementations.
• Monitor progress and communicate status, risks, issues, and accomplishments.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5–10+ years of professional experience, preferably in project management or related functions.
• Proven experience managing projects involving multiple teams, stakeholders, systems, and operational dependencies.
• Strong project planning, organization, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in client-facing and/or project management roles.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive accountability toward shared deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and risk-management capabilities.
