Job summary

PAR Electrical Contractors, LLC is seeking an experienced Project Manager I to support planning and execution of Transmission, Distribution, and Substation construction projects. Ideal for early- to mid-career PM professionals looking to grow in electric utility construction and gain hands-on project management experience.

The PM I collaborates with senior PMs, construction managers, field leadership, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and on budget.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Experience supporting or managing Transmission and Substation construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of electric utility construction practices and terminology.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed within the Region.
  • PMP certification required within 60 days of hire.
  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to the metro area.

Responsibilities

  • Support the management of transmission, distribution, and substation construction projects from initiation through closeout.
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and safety teams.
  • Help manage subcontractors, vendors, and material deliveries.
  • Track project progress and prepare status reports for internal leadership and clients.
  • Support change order management, documentation, and contract compliance.
  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with company policies, safety standards, and client requirements.
  • Participate in project meetings, job briefings, and site visits.
  • Assist with project closeout, including documentation, billing support, and lessons learned.
  • All other duties assigned by manager.

About this Role

PAR Electrical Contractors, LLC is seeking an experienced Project Manager Ito support the planning and execution of Transmission, Distribution, and Substation construction projects. This role is ideal for an early- to mid-career project management professional looking to grow within the electric utility construction industry while gaining hands-on experience managing complex infrastructure projects.

The Project Manager I works closely with senior project managers, construction managers, field leadership, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and on budget.

**Open to candidates with PM type skills with backgrounds in legal, contracts, finance, etc. Willing to train the right candidates. If you are a Project Manager in a like industry, you are also encouraged to apply**

What You'll Do

What You’ll Bring

Preferred Experience & Technical Knowledge (Open to Training Right Candidates)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience supporting or managing Transmission and Substation construction projects
  • Strong understanding of electric utility construction practices and terminology
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed within the Region
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
  • PMP certification required within 60 days of hire.
  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to the metro area.
