Job summary

NPK International Inc. in Denver region seeks a Project Manager to oversee all phases of site access projects in the Rocky Mountain and Northwest regions.

You will coordinate teams, manage resources, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery to the required quality standards. Responsibilities include bid support, preparing and reviewing estimates, maintaining schedules, change orders, and billing coordination with internal teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree preferred or 2+ years in a similar role.
  • Ability to support multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong communication across all levels of the company.
  • Flexible, team player in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50-75% to support bids and projects.

Work Location: Rocky Mountain / North West regions

Division: Site Access

Candidate must reside within a reasonable commute to a major airport to be considered in the desired areas such as: Denver, Cheyenne, Salt Lake City, Seattle, Portland.

Job Summary

The Project Manageroversees all phases of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves coordinating teams, managing resources, and maintaining communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supports customer projects from the bid receipt to project completion. Reviews and submits customer proposals, specifications, drawings, attends pre-bid meetings, site walks to determine scope of work and required contents of the estimate.
  • Prepare and review project estimates to be used in customer proposal and bid documents.
  • Analyzes and incorporates historical data from past projects, subcontracts, productivity reports, and other into unit and labor rate figures to prepare accurate time, cost, and labor estimates for projects.
  • Work with customers and employees to answer technical and project, project logistics, and scope questions, some development and maintenance of technical documentation.
  • Ensure timely generation and documentation of estimates and quotes utilized in the preparation of proposals for site access solutions ensuring adherence to the schedule issued.
  • Maintains files of working documents as back‑up for estimates.
  • Participate in bid strategy and presentation meetings.
  • With support of operations prepares and submits timely and accurate customer billing and communicates information to internal billing team to be recorded in system
  • Supports job cost control tracking, development or revenue recognition units and productivity analysis reporting.
  • Develops and maintains a project schedule. Supports preparation of and maintains change orders and communicate status to team.
  • Will support projects assigned by managers and local operations through tracking progress, preparing billing information, maintaining company systems for project progress, maintaining schedules, preparing and driving approval of change orders, communication with customers, communication with internal stakeholders, providing procurement information to be sourced on projects.
  • Will support estimating by preparing and obtaining approval for accurate bids, participating in project walk‑downs, preparing take‑offs for assigned prospective projects, soliciting pricing from vendors and subcontractors as required, working closely with commercial and operations teams and communicating with customers.
  • Will work closely with billing team in preparing project invoices
  • Will work closely with procurement team in ordering & receiving goods and services

Education And Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree preferred or 2 or more years’ experience in a similar role
  • Ability to support multiple projects while ensuring that all deadlines are met.
  • Ability to communicate well with all levels of employees within the Company.
  • Must be flexible and enjoy working with a diverse group in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Team player attitude.
  • Experience with Microsoft products including Excel, Outlook, & Word required
  • Experience with Bluebeam a plus
  • Experience flying a drone is a plus
  • Experience in Estimating/Project Management/Project Coordination/ Project Administration a plus
  • Experience in reading project construction plan sets a plus
  • Travel up t o 50-75% as re quired to support bids and projects, mostly a day to a few days at a time.
