Job summary

Voith US Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Lead to manage electromechanical equipment projects for large hydropower plants. You will oversee all phases from engineering to field service, ensuring project profitability and on-time delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an related Associate’s degree with strong experience in hydropower, SAP/ECTR/Primavera, and heavy manufacturing processes. Excellent leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Controls, Chemical, Civil) or an Associate’s degree in a related field with a corresponding work history.
• Minimum of five years of experience in hydropower or supporting industry is required.
• Working knowledge of SAP, ECTR, & Primavera systems.
• Working knowledge of heavy manufacturing processes such as casting, forging, welding, machining and assembly.
• A good mechanical aptitude with the ability to read mechanical drawings and bills of materials.
• Scheduling and Project Cost Control skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex projects for the entire electromechanical equipment of hydropower plants in the field of Large Hydro Power Plants.
• Accountable for project profitability through all phases (engineering, production, sourcing, transportation, and field service).
• Ensure contract-compliant execution and adherence to costs, deadlines, and quality through leadership of the project team.
• Develop customer relationships and support Sales and Account Managers to expand business.
• Drive change, claim management, and risk management in interfacing with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Manage project budgets, monitoring, and forecasting of profitability from handover to completion.
• Lead development and control of project schedules.
• Own all project documentation.
• Contribute to process improvement and standardization across the company.

Responsibilities –

• Leading of complex projects for the entire electromechanical equipment of hydropower plants in the field of Large Hydro Power Plants
• Accountable for the project and project profitability through all phases, Hydraulic Engineering,Basic Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Transportation, and FieldService (install, commission, and close out)
• Ensure contract-compliant execution (incl. review of bids and contracts) and compliance withspecified project objectives (costs, deadlines, and quality) through functional leadership andcontrol of the interdisciplinary project team
• Develop customer relationship and support Sales and Account Managers to expand business
• Drive change and claim management as well as project-specific opportunity and riskmanagement in the interface function (customers, subcontractors, suppliers)
• Responsible for project profitability from the project handover to completion. Includes definition of project budgets, monitoring and forecasting of overall project profitability
• Lead the development, monitoring, and controlling of project schedule
• Take ownership of all project documentation
• Contribute to short and long-term objectives of the Company for process improvement andstandardization

Required Skills/Abilities –
